Cultivating Gratitude

Cultivating gratitude ranks extremely high among my daily rituals.

Any time I need a pick-me-up, I immediately begin by expressing my sincerest gratitude for what I have, from my health to my family, and everything in between. I truly believe that it is this gratitude that helps me keep what I have, and continue to build upon it.

In his book The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles prescribes to us “to cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you; and to give thanks continuously.”

I live by these words

I offer my gratitude as I roll out of bed first thing in the morning, and I go to bed each night offering the same. I offer my gratitude any time something amazing happens to me. I also offer gratitude when something tragic happens to me…because no matter how bad my situation may seem at that particular moment in time, I always remind myself that others in the world have it far worse, and would gladly switch places with me.

I clearly remember driving to pick up my daughter 13 months ago (4 years old at the time) after I received a call that she had been bitten on the face by a dog. As I drove, with tears in my eyes, I expressed my gratitude that the incident hadn’t been worse. I had heard stories of these incidents that were far worse, and I know many parents who went through similar circumstances would have loved for the same result that I was walking into. It was a tough time in our lives for a brief period, but a lot of good has come from the incident, and it brought our family closer together. Her scars have faded, but her light shines brighter than ever today.

It’s not about what happens to you, it’s about how you react to what happens to you.

Thank YOU!

I am truly grateful for everything in my life, and a large part of that is due to YOU.

You have supported me from my earliest days at Nirvana, to the release of my first book a decade later. You’ve inspired me through your kindness, and by sharing your stories of how you’ve become better traders by following my approach. You keep me excited about pumping out more great analysis and unmatched training.

Thank YOU for all of the amazing feedback that I’ve received for my book Secrets of a Pivot Boss, for Premium, and for Masters!

Here’s a sampling of recent messages I’ve received from traders just like you:

Messages like these get my juices flowing, and really inspire me to continue to provide the absolute best analysis and training to traders all over the world. We’ve had a fantastic year so far, and 2014 is serving as a perfect stepping stone for what’s coming your way from PivotBoss in 2015!

PivotBoss Greatest Hits

Since I’ll be away from the desk next week, I’ll leave you with the following video, which provides a “greatest hits” recap of my recent analysis for the E-Mini S&P 500 futures from September thru October 2014.

If you want to get a feel for the analysis I provide through Premium, watch this video in its entirety. It will teach you how I go about my analysis, how I offer it to my Premium members, and also provides a look at how accurate my approach to analyzing the market can be, which is an approach I teach every day through Premium, my book, and Masters.

Give me your thoughts on the video, because if you like it and it proves to be of value, I’ll provide more of these in the future.

Have an amazing Thanksgiving Holiday, and I’ll see you all November 30!

Cheers!
